The ‘Magis’ programme at St. John’s was inspired by the Jesuits’ use of the word magis as both a beacon and a challenge:
What more can I do for God?
What more can I do for others?
The Magis programme has become a vehicle for championing some of the most important aspects of our being a Jesuit school; a community interested in sharing and learning and putting those lessons to good use.
Each week a visiting speaker talks to the boys about the world outside St John’s and areas in which they play a leading role.

Each of the speakers offers our boys an invaluable perspective on their curriculum and by encouraging them to see their learning outside of the classroom, fosters and continues engagement outside of school and therefore a deeper understanding.
