In May 2013, St John’s Beaumont received its latest full ISI inspection report, following a comprehensive study carried out by 6 inspectors who delved into just about everything the school does and has to offer. Some comments from the report:
The quality of the pupils’ overall achievements and learning is excellent.
The pupils develop highly effectively in their knowledge, understanding and skills across a broad range of subjects and activities.
The broad curriculum and the excellent programme of extra-curricular activities carefully support the needs of pupils’ different abilities and ages, successfully fulfilling the school’s aims for pupils to achieve academic excellence in an environment that also appreciates the importance of excellence in music, sport, art and drama.
The pupils’ personal development is excellent throughout the school and is strongly underpinned by the Jesuit ethos.

St John's Beaumont RCI Report June 2017
The No.1 trusted guide to schools, it is an independent guide reviewing over 1100 schools each year. Their comments about St John’s following their visit in May 2019:
On our Headmaster: Boys and parents describe him as 'the heart and soul of the school'.
There’s nothing a Good Schools Guide writer loves more than a school that surprises them... had always thought the red-brick gothic buildings somewhat austere, bordering on intimidating. Coupled with the school’s Jesuit foundation and reputation for strong discipline, our expectations were duly set when we arrived on the day of our visit. Happily, we left with them blown out of the water, having spent the day at one of the most contented and civilised boys’ preps we have ever had the privilege of visiting. Serenity and respect pervade the grand corridors (which, true to first impressions, could never be described as cosy) and the staff we met oozed empathy and enthusiasm.
One recent former parent told us 'Once a St John's boy, always a St John's boy.' In our book that can only be a good thing.
Leading British lifestyle and fashion magazine TATLER is publishing this independent guide of the top prep and public schools in the UK, and St John's Beaumont is proud to be amongst them.
The 20201 TATLER review in particularly remarks upon our Jesuit ethos which "produces kind and compassionate boys with empathy. These values 'ring true regardless of faith' say parents, who send their boys from near and far to enjoy St John's Beaumont School's holistic education."
Sports facilities here are 'excellent' and yield great results (particularly in swimming & rugby).
"A focus on new challenges see the boys embracing camping in the woods, electricity-free days and countless quirky clubs, form hip hop to knitting."
